H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Al Dhafra Region and Chairman of the Emirates Falconers Club, has visited the 21st edition of the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX), touring the exhibition's pavilions.
Accompanying His Highness on the visit were Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Rashid bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Majed Al Mansouri, Secretary-General of the Emirates Falconers Club, Major General Pilot Faris Khalaf Al Mazrouei, Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police, Nasser Al Mansouri, Undersecretary of the Ruler's Representative Court in Al Dhafra, Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, Managing Director and Group CEO of ADNEC Group, Issa Abu Shahab, Advisor to the Chairman of the Emirates Red Crescent, Khadim Al Darei, and several other senior officials.
During the tour, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan explored prominent local and international participants specialising in hunting and equestrian industries, showcasing the latest developments and technologies in these sectors. He also met with several participants and learned about key national initiatives, projects, and cultural and heritage events accompanying the exhibition.
His Highness’ tour included the pavilions of national companies such as Bynuna and Caracal, as well as the International Fund for Houbara Conservation. He also visited the Almegnas initiative pavilion, which offers an interactive experience to learn about falconry through live performances and an accompanying exhibition. Further stops included Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi, Ma Hawa – a company producing water from air – and Al Ghadeer project.
Sheikh Hamdan expressed delight at the success of the current edition of the exhibition and the wide participation of local and international exhibitors, which reflects the richness of the local heritage. He affirmed that ADIHEX continues to play its role as a platform for cultural exchange and a hub for sustainable practices in this field.
“The 21st edition of the exhibition is an exceptional event that has solidified Abu Dhabi’s position as a capital for hunting and equestrian sectors, both regionally and internationally, and as a hub for creativity and innovation in these vital sectors. This aligns with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, to balance the requirements of modernity with the nation's rich cultural and civilisational heritage across various knowledge and economic sectors, ensuring the preservation of the nation's heritage for future generations," he said.
Sheikh Hamdan praised the efforts of the teams and organisers of the current edition, comprising Emirati talents, who contributed to the success of the event, presenting it in a manner befitting the reputation and status of the UAE. His Highness expressed confidence that the exhibition will continue its role in highlighting the bright, civilised image and rich heritage of the UAE.
