'His Highness Sheikh Hamadan bin Zayed Al Nahyan'
Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you,
The Al Dhafra Region is a cherished and vital part of our nation. It represents, on the one hand, the cradle of our history and the origin of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. It also covers more than eighty percent of the Emirate’s total land area and contributes approximately forty-five percent of the gross domestic product. Moreover, it holds a special place in preserving our heritage, as it is home to many families and tribes that have played a significant role in the nation’s development and in raising its flag.
Dear brothers,
On June 13, 2009, we were appointed by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the State (may Allah have mercy on him), as the Ruler’s Representative in the Al Dhafra Region. Since that time, we have placed before us the words of His Highness:
"The true wealth of the United Arab Emirates lies in its citizens, who actively contribute to the journey of prosperity and development through hard work and belief in the principles of citizenship and belonging.
Accordingly, our priorities have focused on ensuring the prosperity and stability of citizens, whether in the six main cities of the Al Dhafra Region— Madinat Zayed, Liwa city, Al Mirfa, Ghayathi, Al Sila, and Dalma Island—or in the surrounding towns, villages, and communities that enrich the fabric of Al Dhafra. Key development principles, including responsible growth, environmental preservation, public health and social well-being, preservation of identity, encouragement of population growth, and economic development, guide these priorities.
Through my regular field visits and meetings with citizens and officials in the region, I have observed that government work has reached a level of maturity aligned with the Abu Dhabi Vision 2030. Most entities in the region now possess their own structures, identities, and administrative independence, enabling them to serve citizens in the best possible way. This ensures that the region continues to reflect the vision of our founding father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan (may Allah rest his soul), who dedicated great care, effort, and valuable time to improving the quality of life for all residents of the region.

Through this important platform on the new official website of the Court of the Ruler’s Representative in the Al Dhafra Region, we are pleased to open a new channel of communication with citizens, and to develop a comprehensive regional vision for Al Dhafra, enhancing policies, principles, and programs that serve the best interests of the region.
Your brothers at the Court of the Ruler’s Representative in the Al Dhafra Region are honored to support and advance these pioneering initiatives, implement continuous directives, and harness all available resources to serve the nation and its citizens. We remain committed to supporting all national initiatives and projects, regardless of time or scope.

O Allah, protect our wise leadership, safeguard our beloved country, and bless all efforts that continue to elevate it forward, so that it remains a shining example among nations.
